“Discovery! A Very Beginning Experience in Acrylic Painting” w/ Kim Brayman

DATE/TIME: Saturday / April 23  / 11-5pm

COST: $125

 DESCRIPTION:

You don’t need any prior drawing or painting experience to learn how to use acrylic paints for this colorful way of depicting nature! This 3 step process encourages having fun with paint, while learning how to create simple designs in a way that features texture, color and basic representational drawings. Using bird and tree shapes in a silhouette form, you will create three or four color-filled 9 x 12” paintings for an interesting, creative portrayal of these natural forms.

Kim’s art teaching degree and experience teaching at the beginner level will make this class informative and fun! She will demonstrate what you need to know about how to use the acrylic materials and the tools you bring to class, as well as discussing color, design and artistic principles that will help you express yourself. Under her guidance you’ll take your own flight of fancy on a canvas, making representational paintings that will begin to display your artistic voice.

There will be a half hour break to stretch, see what others are doing and to grab lunch if you want. Please see our FAQ page on this website for suggestions on parking in the free zones and lots, so you don’t have to worry about moving your car!
