Lisa JonesMoore

Lisa JonesMoore is a graduate of Colorado State University, with a BFA in Fine Art and Graphic Design. Encaustics (beeswax, damar resin, pigment), collage and art assemblage have been a passionate pursuit for her over the past eight years. She includes many items in her work-such as bones, fabric, digital photos, discarded papers, bottle caps, rusty nails, sand and old hardware parts. Her love of Latino culture shines through many of her works.

Lisa also loves creating contemporary shrines and iconic female imagery as a way to connect with her past and other like-minded souls. Lisa's works are part of private collections in the Northwest, Midwest and East coast of the United States. Her encaustic and mixed media work has been published in Cloth•Paper•Scissors magazine, Somerset Studio, Somerset Workshop, Somerset Life Images, IndieArts DVD magazine and The Pulse of Mixed Media: Secrets and Passions of 100 Artists Revealed (North Light Books).

Lisa is currently represented by Hanson Scott Gallery in Seattle, Washington & by ARTspot in Edmonds. She is thrilled to be working for the Edmonds Community College ArtsNow/uLearn program as program coordinator for community education classes. She also enjoys teaching students about the joys of encaustic wax and mixed media.
