Description:
When summer arrives, we really see the beauty of landscapes which embody the color, movement and wonderful life that vibrates in the trees, flowers and foliage. In this 2-day workshop, you will learn how to capture the essence of summer, its light, beauty and richness.

Join David in the Cole Gallery studio as he demos and teaches how to use photos to develop strong compositions for paintings which create the mood you are looking for.  Learn his technique of impressionistic brush work, including the secrets to creating lively color, beautiful texture and the effects of light as you capture the beauty of the summer.  You will follow his lead as he helps guide you through your painting.

David will be painting in oils but students may work in oils or acrylics. Acrylic artists are encouraged to use retarding medium and/or mix in open acrylics to extend drying time. Open to all levels, but some painting experience is helpful.
