Having you been waiting for an art journey? A class that is full of surprises and is “new” every week? Drawing Adventures takes you on a developmental drawing journey every Monday. This class is all about exploring and practicing new drawing techniques, strategies and subjects with different drawing challenges each week. In this 4-week repeating class the projects each week will emphasize how to “see” like an artist and practicing techniques. The sessions will differ quarter to quarter!
It is perfect for the beginner or anyone who likes a new drawing challenge and fresh instruction each week. If you have completed Julia’s Joy of Drawing and the Joy of Drawing continues and want to keep on drawing, this is the companion class for you!
Our materials will focus on dry media like pencils, charcoal, pastels, with some ink and colored pencils being explored as the class progresses.
You can purchase your quality art supplies at ARTspot! Registered students receive a 10% discount on all their art supplies from the time of paid registration until the last day of class. Most items on this list are available at ARTspot. Please let their staff advise you about appropriate art materials to fulfill requirements for your class.
Because of the various projects we will do in this class, which will change from quarter to quarter, there is a list of basic supplies you should have. More supplies may be required depending on the projects we decide to do but the following items are a good start. The “Julia’s Joy of Drawing Kit” available at Artspot has all these and more at a discounted price, so if you have purchased the kit, you will be covered. But keep in mind we may not use all the supplies.
