DESCRIPTION:

Painting winter scenes in watercolor can be challenging. National award-winning artist and experienced instructor Ron Stocke will teach you his techniques, tips and tricks to help you overcome these challenges, and give you the tools to paint with confidence.

Mood and a restricted palette are the keys of painting a successful Winterscape. Ron will show students his technique of using the white of the paper and direct brushstrokes of subtle values to achieve this balance. Atmosphere and weather will be elements of this class: techniques on how to paint fog, snow and rain will be covered.

Light is always key to setting the mood, and Ron’s brilliance in this area is well-known. You’ll learn how to achieve soft light within a winter scene. Students will also learn how to direct the viewers eye to a strong area of dominance by using value, detail and Ron's trademark approach to tension within a painting.

Ron’s workshops fill up quickly, since he is well known in the Northwest as a terrific instructor. Don’t delay – sign up today!
