WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Drawing people can be so difficult, but it doesn’t have to be! With artist and instructor Joe MacKechnie, it will even be fun, and in this workshop you’ll learn how to draw better than you ever thought you could! Suitable both for beginners and also for experienced artists that want a portrait-drawing refresher, Joe will teach you the basics of drawing realistic portraits.  Those who have attended previous workshops were surprised at how fun and easy drawing can be with Joe’s novel approach, which combines left and right brain abilities. Most of all, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself in a fun and non-intimidating environment.  Since this workshop will have students with a range of skills from absolute beginners to advanced artists, you will fit right in even if you’ve never attended a workshop like this before. Each daily session has lectures, demos and hands-on exercises. In some of the work sessions you will draw from a live model and other times from photographs.

The model's fee will be $10/day/person.
