Description:
If you enjoy birds and animals of all kinds (and yes, even your pets) and want to learn to capture them in a simple direct approach in watercolor, then this class is for you! Having fun with splashy, wet and painterly backgrounds, while capturing the realistic essence of each subject, Denise will guide you through a step by step process to create a beautiful painting.
Students will be working on a smaller scale – about 8x8 to 12x16 – so you won’t feel intimidated by large pieces of paper! As a follow up to her Winter Miniature class, in this class you will learn how to create natural backgrounds, learn some fun techniques for trees, grasses and more.
Watercolor is a wonderful medium if you can get to work for you, letting it have its own vibrancy and life. Learn the secrets of mastering the medium and have fun! While working from photos each student will work on animals of their own choice. Denise will have lots of photos to paint from as well and will provide demos and hands-on help to each student maximize their artistic potential. Denise will share all of her tricks and tips for successful watercolor painting and with her step by step methods, everyone will have success! Create festive winter scenes and improve your painting skills and - most of all - have fun!
