Where are the workshops held?
Most of our workshops are held at our studio space located on the lower level of Cole Gallery - 107 5th Avenue South, Edmonds 98020. We do not have an elevator and you will be required to go down one flight of stairs. Our staff is happy to assist you if you need help carrying your supplies up or down the stairs.
Occasionally our workshops are held at ArtWorks in Edmonds. The workshop description will specify. ArtWorks is located at the corner of 2nd and Dayton, at 201 2nd Ave, Edmonds WA 98020. Click here to view their website. Click here to see a map of their location. ArtWorks has abundant free parking.
Where do I park?
Free Parking available! Edmonds offers 3 hour parking in many of the bank lots during the weekend and from Monday through Saturday, the Christian Science church (just 3 blocks away at 551 Maple Street, Edmonds 98020) graciously allows our students to park in their lot - all day, for free. You can access their lot through the alley off of 6th Ave S. Click here for a map of the church. Then it's about a 5 minute walk down Dayton back to Cole Gallery and Cole Art Studio. (Please do not park in their lot on Sundays).
On the day of your workshop, you may unload your supplies at our back door before finding a parking spot. You can get there through the alley between the Edmonds Book Store and Engel’s Pub. Look for the “Cole Gallery” sign in our back door window and over the Studio's back stairway. There is no parking in the lot behind Cole Gallery – they will tow your car, with no mercy! There is also a loading zone in front of the bookstore, and you can bring your supplies in through Cole Gallery.

Street parking in the downtown, when you can find it, is a 3 hour zone Monday through Saturday. You will be given a lunch break during the workshop when you can move your car. To be outside the 3-hours zones, you can park east (uphill) of 6th street and south of Walnut, as long as there are no signs to indicate otherwise. (Please check signage to be sure, as city ordinances can change the situation). On Sundays, Edmonds' 3-hour parking restriction is lifted, so you won't have the hassle of moving your car during the Sunday workshops.
What is your return or refund policy for classes and 1:1 mentoring?
If you cannot attend your class, our cancellation policy is a 90% refund up to and including 14 days before the class. Or you may transfer 100% of your payment to another class or to a credit to a future class at Cole Art Studio. No refunds for cancellations 13 days or less prior to class.
If you do not schedule your 1:1 mentoring session or attend your scheduled 1:1 mentoring session with an artist your payment is forfeited and nonrefundable.
Any deposit or payment is forfeited and non-refundable within 13 days of class start date. If we have to cancel a class due to low enrollment, you will receive your choice of a 100% refund or you can transfer 100% of your payment to another class, or keep a credit at Cole Art Studio to be applied to another workshop of your choice at any time, without expiration.
How do I register for workshops & classes?
Please register through our website with our online shopping cart. If you have questions, please email us at ColeArtStudioWorkshops@gmail.com. Or you may call us at 425.697.2787, and we will be happy to assist you with the online registration process. If you need a credit on-file to be applied to a class, you must call us.
Can I buy a gift certificate?
You may purchase a gift certificate for any of our workshops or for any cash amount. Call, come into Cole Gallery, or purchase one online here.
How do I use my gift certificate online?
If your Cole Art Studio gift certificate has been purchased recently (since the middle of December 2020) you may have a Digital Code on the gift certificate to use it online.
When in the shopping cart, view the Order Summary (on a mobile device it is on the top of your screen, on a computer it will be on the right) and type that online code where it says DISCOUNT CODE, then click “Apply”. You’ll see the discount reflected in the price below.

Where can I get lunch?
There are a number of great eateries in downtown Edmonds for either a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Here's a great list from Trip Advisor of Edmonds' top-rated restaurants. Ask a Cole Gallery staff member to give you some ideas for whatever you’re in the mood for. There is also a PCC and QFC less than 5 minute drive away. (Note that some classes specify that you bring your lunch; this is because your instructor doesn't plan a long break. You will still have time to move your car, if needed).
We offer cookies, coffee, tea, and water as part of our workshop space.
I’m coming from a distance - are there hotel accommodations nearby?
The Best Western Plus – Edmonds Harbor Inn is the closest hotel in our area located at 130 W Dayton St, Edmonds, WA 98020 - a brisk walk (maybe 10 minutes) away from Cole Gallery and a block away from the Edmonds ferry entrance. They offer an expanded continental breakfast, WiFi, living room seating area with fireplace, pool access, workout room, and more. They can be reached at (425) 771-5021.
There are also a lot of privately owned places in Edmonds accessed through Airbnb.
I saw you took photos at the workshop, what are those used for?
We love taking pictures of all the fun we have in our workshops and classes. We use these photos for our blog, our website, Facebook, and in some advertising about Cole Art Studio. If you would not like to be photographed, please let the photographer know.
Do you offer kids classes?
Our workshops are for all levels of adults or the mature teen.
