Description:
Learn to paint a tree-dominated landscape!
Acrylic paintings with a fresh perspective are Cheryl Waale’s niche. She has developed a recognizable style--turning ordinary subjects into extraordinary works which offer many layers of color and texture. Her paintings appear to have layers of stories embedded in them. The results are works that take the 2D medium to a new level.
This workshop is for beginning to intermediate painters who want to experience the joy of creating expressionist works of art. The focus will be to paint a tree-dominated landscape creatively with acrylics. Cheryl will guide you using the basics of strong design while you build your painting by adding layers of vibrant color with the emphasis on keeping your paintings lively, loose and fresh.
The workshop includes short demos and guidance on laying the groundwork and making decisions that will lead to a painting that will please. You will focus on one painting, but bring two supports (canvas or board).
Whether you’re a beginner or have painted for some time, Cheryl will bring a sense of freedom and joy to the process of creating a work that is inspired by pushing boundaries. Be prepared to work outside the lines!
