Description:
Your friends can draw. Your kids can draw. Even your dog and cat seem like they could draw. But you? You break out in a cold sweat when someone hands you a pencil…. But NOT ANY MORE! That all stops on July 21st. After that day you will be able to say, “YES! I can draw!”
Perhaps you’ve watched other people drawing, and somewhere back in your head, you have thought “I really wish there was someone who could teach me, some way to learn this.” Maybe you’ve been intimidated by other people in the class who seemed to know what they were doing, and wished for a ‘safe’ place where you could learn to draw without embarrassment.
Fear not! This class is THE place for you to finally learn to draw! You really can do it – you just haven’t had the right teacher – until now! Bring your fears and those discouraging voices in your head, and you will find them melting away as Joe Mac Kechnie makes a believer out of you.
Those who have attended previous workshops were surprised at how fun and easy drawing can be with Joe’s novel approach. For example, you will be introduced to basic drawing skills using an approach that combines left and right brain abilities; you will learn getting things in the right place and right size without pain, complication or confusion. Most of all, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself in a fun and non-intimidating environment.
Working with black and white charcoal media, this 1-day workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of creating art. There will be lectures, demos and hands-on exercises. The fundamentals learned here apply to any subject matter, and if you wish, you will be able to confidently go on to more advanced drawing and painting classes. Discover the artist within you!!
