DESCRIPTION:

Have you ever wanted to learn to paint with acrylics? Not sure where to even begin? This is the class you've been waiting for! Our “Discovery!” classes are geared specifically for beginners – providing you a cheerful, non- intimidating environment. Perhaps you have been afraid to take a class for fear of being judged “not good enough”, or maybe you’ve felt intimidated in other classes, especially as you look over your shoulder at other experienced students. NOT HERE! Everyone is a newbie in Discovery! Bring those fears and watch them melt away as Joe gently guides you, and shows you that you can paint. Beginning students actually enjoy being in our Discovery class!

Beloved art instructor and artist Joe Mac Kechnie will assist you in learning the first steps for producing acrylic paintings. Joe loves teaching beginners, to see that light turn on, and to help you get over those hurdles and begin the wonderful Art Experience Journey!

Joe says, “Acrylics are newer to the art world than many other mediums. First seen in the mid 1940’s, acrylics have been slowly gaining popularity and exhibit many properties of oils. But they dry much faster and are a great medium to get your start in painting.”
