DESCRIPTION:
In this two-day workshop, students will have the opportunity to follow along with instructor Kimberly Adams as she guides them through how to finger paint spring compositions. She will share her techniques to build texture and plan compositions as well as giving simple tips on color theory. Kimberly speaks to the class as a group as well as working one on one with each student to ensure they complete a canvas they love. At the end of the workshop students will go home with TWO finished finger paintings!
Day One: Kimberly will explain how she plans compositions and uses angles to create 3- dimensional landscapes. Students will have the opportunity to practice and perfect a variety of techniques to build texture - such as blending, sculpting and adding small details. Kimberly will lead a step by step instruction on how to apply these techniques as students recreate one of her spring landscape paintings – Restful.
Day Two: Students will have a step by step instruction on how to paint a vibrant wild flower landscape using the techniques perfected on day one. This class will focus on color placement and use of painting techniques that give the illusion flowers are fading into the distance.
