Description:
In this fun two-day workshop, your fingers will experience the joy of painting brilliant, swirling fall leaves and a forest of gorgeous, white-barked birch trees alongside artist Kimberly Adams. Step by step, she will show you how to build texture and create a vibrant fall landscape that is packed with colors we all enjoy.

Fall landscapes are one of Kimberly’s favorite subjects to paint and to teach. She has explored different ways to manipulate the paint to create a 3D type effect with texture, as well as playing with color to make you feel you can walk right into the canvas.  Perfect for beginners as this is one of the easier compositions to create with the finger painting technique. For students who are familiar with finger painting, Kimberly will share her tips on how to swirl and play with color combinations that will make the canvas illuminate with light and color.

Day one, you will enjoy the simplicity of this composition chosen by Kimberly as no advance drawing or painting skills are required. She will guide you through easy shapes that can be created by your finger tips for an impactful work of art.

Day two, will be devoted to the class choosing their own fall landscape to paint applying the techniques learned from day one with Kimberly spending one on one time with each student as they work to find their own unique style.  If a student chooses not to bring their own composition they can paint an example Kimberly has chosen for the class or they can continue to work on the landscape from day one.

At the end of this two-day workshop you will walk away with the confidence to continue creating your own versions of this fall landscape that will lead you down the path to inspire that inner artist in you!
