DESCRIPTION:

David will share his approach to tranquil landscape painting with emphasis on beginning a painting and composition. He will help you decide what to paint and different ways to approach it. We will look at basic structure and composition, and how to simplify a complex scene.

David will demonstrate beginning a painting step-by- step, dealing with the landscape in different weather and conditions, from bright and sunny to cool and overcast. He will then work with you personally on developing your landscape painting. Please bring reference material to use during the class.

David will be demonstrating in oils but students may work in oils or acrylics. Some painting experience is helpful, however all levels of experience are welcome.
