Description:
Back by popular demand! This workshop is great for all levels of artists - including beginners! In this two-day workshop, you will be painting along with artist Kimberly Adams, as she shows you how to create a sumptuous impressionistic floral painting that is bursting with the summertime garden’s colors we all delight in.
On Day One, you will be exploring how to plan compositions from fresh and lovely floral arrangements. Students will be amazed to learn how to translate from life as they narrate their painting. No need to rush through this canvas – students who want to take their time, or who chose to paint on a larger canvas, can continue this painting on Day Two.
On Day Two, you will have an option to start a new canvas, or add to your canvas created on day one from a variety of newly placed flowers elegantly arranged in a vase, applying movement of color that transcends throughout the composition. Students love the second day of the workshop, with the quick results that materialize as they become more comfortable with finger painting with oils. At the end of this class you will take home a unique impressionistic floral still life that will dazzle your family and friends.

Canvases:
Students can choose either
- 2 (16 x 20in) canvases, gallery wrapped - one for each day, or
- 1 (18 x 24in.) canvas, gallery wrapped, to work on over the two days
Paints:
Kimberly will be using Holbein Duo Aqua Oils. Holbein and Gamblin regular Oil paints can also be used. Some of the colors can be substituted with colors as indicated below; the result might be slightly different from Kimberly’s painting. If students want to use other brands, they should be artist quality paints.

- Paper towels
- Apron or Paint Shirt. When Kimberly paints, she gets paint everywhere! You might too, so dress appropriately to get messy.
