CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Beginner to Intermediate students will really love this class!  And we’re offering this in a new format – evenings – to see if this works better for your busy schedules. (Let us know what you think!)
Perhaps you’ve wanted to experiment with pastels, with their vibrancy and freedom, but were just looking for the right instructor. Someone with credentials, experience, and someone known for a systematic approach yet a free-flowing style… Look no further! Joe Mac Kechnie is here! His students rave about what a great teacher he is. Now, in this new evening format, is your chance to give pastels a try.
If you’ve taken Joe’s drawing classes, you have experienced the freedom and ease of working with soft charcoals. The next logical step is to move to pastels. The tactile feedback and the ease of use re the same as charcoal. The only new variable is color! Joe will introduce this medium by teaching you color systems for applying and mixing colors. Over the 5 weekly classes, you will learn to create stunning, colorful artworks full of movement and energy!
