Dramatic Sunsets in Oil & Acrylic w/ David Marty / Sat-Sun /- Feb 21 - 22 : Beginners and Beyond
Saturday-Sunday / February 21 - 22 / 10:30-4:30 PM
All Levels Welcome!
Everyone loves sunsets — there’s something magical about their brilliant colors and ever-changing beauty. They’re a joy to paint, though not without their challenges! In this two-day workshop, David will guide you step-by-step through his process for capturing sunsets in oils or acrylics. You’ll begin with a small color study to explore composition, color mixing, and brushwork, then move on to creating your own full-sized sunset painting. David will demonstrate techniques for painting clouds, landscapes, and water reflections, and you’ll apply the same approach as you develop your own sunset masterpiece.
This workshop will be fun and encouraging for both beginners and experienced painters.
More information is below.
David will paint in oils, but students may work in either oils or acrylics. Acrylic painters are encouraged to use a retarder or open acrylics to extend drying time.
Photo reference material will be provided but you may bring your own as well.
