Kathleen will guide you step by step through the essential skills that make artwork come alive — learn to see more clearly, understand form and light, and draw three-dimensional objects with confidence and accuracy. Whether you’re new to drawing or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this class will help you build a solid base for all your creative work.

Each week, Kathleen will introduce a new topic in drawing, covering all the basics every artist should know. Working from still life and from photos, this class is perfect for beginners as well as students looking to expand their skills. Kathleen works wonderfully with a range of experience levels, providing guidance and challenges tailored to support each student’s artistic journey.

Drawing pencils: 6B, 4B, 2B, H
Vine Charcoal—soft
Kneaded eraser
White vinyl eraser
Pad of drawing paper—12in x 16in
