Step into a world of imagination and delight as you paint whimsical still lifes with beloved artist Michelle Waldele. Known for her enchanting paintings filled with vintage objects, toys, cheerful birds, bugs, mice, and more, Michelle has a gift for transforming everyday objects into magical works of art. Her warm, step-by-step instruction makes oil painting fun and approachable for every skill level.
You'll begin by creating a simple still life, then discover how to transform it into a charming, story-filled painting with playful touches. Working in oils, you'll learn layering techniques that create beautiful color, depth, texture, and dimension while building confidence in your painting.
Filled with demonstrations, personalized instruction, and plenty of encouragement, this workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. You'll leave with new skills, fresh inspiration, and a whimsical painting you'll be proud to take home.

140lb Cold Press 100% Cotton Watercolor paper: 2 sheets 22x30 or a block of paper 11 x 14 or 9 x 12
14/15 ml tubes of either Daniel Smith or Windsor & Newton of the 5 colors listed below:
Alizarin Crimson
French Ultramarine Blue
Hansa Yellow Medium
Sap Green
Quinacridone Burnt Orange or Burnt Sienna
A covered watercolor palette with a large mixing area.
Brushes: 1 - size 12 round brush and a 1 inch flat brush
Water Spray bottle
A good size water container for washing out your brush
A towel or cloth to wipe your brush on, a sponge works well too.
Gator Foam Board or a stiff waterproof board to attach your paper to for support 12 x 16
Bull Clips or tape to attach your paper to the board.
A pencil 2B
