Intermediate - Experienced Beginners & Beyond
This workshop will be a deeper dive into Kimberly’s finger painting techniques, to help you get to the next level in your finger painting. In this advanced three-day workshop, you can paint a subject of your own choosing! Bring in your own work, whether just starting with a reference photo, or already begun on a canvas. You’ll learn how to complete a painting, starting from the beginning concept all the way through to the finished creation.

Description:
Using a form of the “atelier” method of teaching, Kimberly will help each student along, showing how to get through whatever obstacles they might encounter. She will show you how to create various textures, organize color placement, and obtain details with different finger-painting techniques on your chosen subjects from concept to completion on the canvas.
This three-day class format will enable you to work on large canvases. After this workshop you will walk away with the confidence to continue creating your own finger paintings!

Note: Since this workshop’s supply list is driven by YOU and your project, please make sure you are getting colors and canvases that are a good fit for your project. Registered students can email Kimberly with any questions at: artbykimberlyadams@gmail.com
Canvases for painting your own subject matter - suggested sizes:
One 30x40”, 36”x36”, OR a few smaller canvases: 16”x20”, 20”x20” or 24”x24”
(You know how fast or slow you like to paint. These are just suggestions. Feel free to bring what sizes and quantities you prefer.)
Paints: Kimberly uses Holbein Duo Aqua Oils. Holbein Regular Oil paints can also be used. If you choose to use another brand, the result might be slightly different from Kimberly’s painting; whatever you decide on, be sure to pick artist quality paints.

Apron or Paint Shirt. When Kimberly paints, she gets paint everywhere! You might too, so dress appropriately to get messy.
