Whether you are new to drawing or want to expand your skills, this one-day workshop taught by Seattle’s beloved “Urban Sketcher,” Gabriel Campanario is a great way to grow as an artist and sketcher. If you’ve taken drawing classes, this class will build upon what you’ve learned and help you develop even more skills. For students new to Gabi’s drawing classes, this class will teach you the basics of drawing, the foundation of all forms of art.
Local legend Gabi Campanario, the renowned “Urban Sketcher” long featured in The Seattle Times, is offering a brand new class for students who want to learn the basics of drawing. Gabriel’s warm and encouraging instruction makes even the newest students feel comfortable beginning their drawing adventures. Drawing doesn’t require expensive tools. For this class, all you’ll need are a few pencils of different grades, thick graphite stick and a pad of smooth sketching paper. The goal of the class is to learn important drawing fundamentals: line, shape, form, texture, and tonal value. Drawing skills provide a solid foundation for all kinds of art. Even experienced painters benefit from revisiting structural basics. Class participants will draw from still-life compositions set up in the studio. This class is recommended for beginners and for anyone interested in strengthening their pencil drawing techniques.
Supply List:
Pencils: 2H, HB, 3B, 6B (Feel free to bring more grades if you'd like.)
2 Lyra graphite stick 2B and 6B (9B optional)
Sketchbook or sketchpad with smooth paper
Box cutter for sharpening
Kneaded eraser
Blending stump (optional)
