All supplies included - We will have wine and bagged snacks but feel free to bring an additional snack if you wish. Whitney always brings chocolates to share!
Relax with a glass of wine while discovering the intrigue within the wax. You will explore the beauty of Encaustics, creating a painting born of pigment, beeswax and heat. This exciting medium gives itself completely to surface texture, while allowing fluidity and movement.
We will begin with the basics, making this a perfect class for those new to Encaustics, then progress to more in-depth techniques, making it a good fit for all skill levels. At the end of the evening everyone will go home with a beautiful encaustic painting!
Explore the vibrancy, texture and fun of encaustic painting! Painting with hot, melted wax as the medium, with a bright, bold palette, each student will go home with 2 to 3 textured paintings.
