In this fun two-day workshop, your fingers will experience the joy of painting brilliant, swirling fall leaves and a forest of gorgeous, white-barked birch trees alongside artist Kimberly Adams. Step by step, she will show you how to build texture and create a vibrant fall landscape packed with layers of color. Different from some of her past classes, this workshop will focus on learning a variety of new techniques to make your painting fit your unique vision, to create your own personal expressive art.
Fall landscapes are among Kimberly’s favorite subjects to paint and to teach. She explores different ways to manipulate paint to create a 3D effect with texture. She plays with color to make you feel you can walk right into the canvas. Her introduction to fall landscapes is perfect for beginners. These compositions created with the finger-painting technique can go together with relative ease. Students already familiar with finger painting gain proficiency from Kimberly’s tips on how to swirl and play with color combinations that illuminate the canvas with bright chromatic light.
