This is the second in a series of online classes to help the beginners paint in watercolor with joy and an adventurous approach. These are live, online classes via Zoom.
More information is below.
This beginner’s class is designed to help you build your confidence in handling the beautiful medium of watercolor. Kim
loves to teach and encourages her students to use the techniques and skills they learn from her, to develop their own
style in their paintings. She will teach you how to control the amount of water to paint ratio so that you have deep
darks, brilliant lights and subtle grays. Reference photos can be filled with more information than is needed to present
your viewers with your impression of the beautiful scene. Kim will help you build confidence in deciding what to leave in
and what to eliminate.
Color mixing in this class is made easy with the use of a limited palette of colors. You will learn how to paint hard and
soft edges and how to use your brush to create texture. Your lessons will also cover composition, design, and how to
create depth in your paintings. Kim creates a safe environment in her classes to paint without fear and the freedom to
explore.
